About

A life long resident, Pauline moved to Williams Lake, BC area at the age of 11, living many years in the rural parts of Cariboo. Pauline and her family, sister Elaine and twin sister Lynda, brothers Chevy and Dan, Mother and Father George and Marg Colgate, moved to beautiful Nemiah Valley in the mid 1970’s. The family initially moved to Nemiah to manage a cattle ranch, and later George worked for the First Nations Band until retirement.

Pauline and her siblings moved into boarding homes in Williams Lake for grades 9-12 as there was only Elementary grade K-8 offered. Once a month school bus trips home was a normal way of life, so the Colgate siblings quickly learned to become active in community events and sports to pass the long days between visits home.

Prior to acquiring her Real Estate license in 2006, she was a massage practitioner and fitness trainer. Pauline artfully balances her career with her active family, enjoying the camaraderie of her sons, Colton and Zack, granddaughter Dani Mae, step-daughters, Ellis and Madison, and of course husband and business partner Court Smith.

She has a passion for personal fitness and running, has participated in many 10k runs including Williams Lake, Vancouver Sun Run, Victoria Times Colonist, Kamloops Boogie the Bridge, Horsefly Fun Run, Kelowna BMO, and the Rock & Roll 1/2 marathon in Vegan in November 2016!

A cowgirl at heart, Pauline has participated in the BC Rodeo Association and BC Barrel Racing Association in the ladies’ barrel racing event, and has been a volunteer on horseback for the Williams Lake Stampede for the last 14 years.

Pauline has been a successful Realtor in Williams Lake for over 13 years, her and husband Court Smith opened the doors to Sutton Cariboo Realty in 2012, and recently closed the Sutton office, purchasing RE/MAX Williams Lake Realty October 2018.
